Hi,

Sorry if this question been asked and answered before but I just lifted quite a few onions and with the weather being a little uncertain at the moment, the only place I have to dry my onions is in the garage. It hasn't got any day light going in and therefore is quite dark.

Will the onion cure all the same or do I have to take them out when the weather is fine?

I may be wrong but I think they just need to be somewhere warm and dry, and well ventilated. Last year I put mine on a wire trolley thing and left them out in the sun when it was dry and wheeled them back into the shed when rain was due.
Then when they are nice and dry they want to be cool and dry, and well ventilated.

A garage is fine provided the onions are spaced out and on something that will let air flow such as some screening. You don't need light to ripen onions, only good air flow.

They'll be fine on that. Just roll them slightly each day so there's no 'bottom' that stays damp.
