We have the first chicks of the season! So far two from ex-batts x booted bantam type, one Light Sussex. We were a bit worried that we wouldn't be able to tell them apart when one of the former came out yellow, but apart from the size they have hairy legs so easy to see. They have their own bedroom with woodburner at the moment as we are still deep in snow and very cold here. Hopefully by the time they get their strength they can go outside with a proper lamp in a proper enclosure.
