Poor quality buckets
« on: October 07, 2017, 11:42 »
We use quite a lot of plastic buckets for animal feed, car-washing and etc.
Last week I spotted some orange-coloured ones in B and Q at just £1 each and bought five. What a waste of money! They chip and split at the drop of a hat. the handles come adrift and two are already totally unusable

As soon as i saw the title i thought B&Q orange !

A decent carrier bag will outlast them ! ;)

With buckets the rubber like builders buckets are the best buy but not cheap !

Good quality tub trugs are just the best invention although there are some substandard ones around. The very first ones I bought were made from old car tyres, shame I left the biggest at the tip & drove off😥

We have those too, problem is that they are black and for reasons I won't bore you with, we prefer buckets in light colour that show up any contamination. B & Q buckets used to be far better than their present offering

Yes, I was peering at those orange buckets, and wondered what the deal is. Don't they let you keep it if you buy something or other?

Have to admit that we bought half a dozen of their black ones a few years ago, and they're still OK, even after use for high-level carrots for a year or so.

Perhaps they only bring out the orange ones on Wednesdays...
