[New shoot]

Cool, overcast and breezy here.  We have had a few spits and spats of rain, but I think the main band is due to hit us later.

Trying hard not to grumble about it!

Still waiting for the promised rain just dank and damp here, certainly nothing to make any difference to the garden.

Poor little sweetcorn plants were only planted out 6 days ago - I'm more likely to hear slugs gobbling them up than the sweetcorn slurping up the rain!

We've had winds gusting around 50mph and 60mm of rain in the last 24 hours. It's about 14 degrees now. Greenhouse still standing!

The weather woke me up twice and an extremely cold wet big black cat woke me around 5.30am as he pushed his way under the duvet purring like a lawnmower to dry off I had to distract him with breakfast before I staggered back to bed.

Eugh! Nothing worse than wet cat - except maybe wet dog doing the same thing 

We had half an inch of rain overnight, and blustery showers on and off today. The fence panel flapping about will need attention, as soon as the winds ease down a bit

12.2 degrees in the plastic greenhouse and windy and wet. Hope crops are OK down there!

Its dry but cold and still windy,we have damage to the rhubarb,snapped most of the stalks clean off,some pea plants broken,alot of the strawberry leaves covering the fruit also broken off,other wise all good,we have had plenty of the much needed rain :)Lillileaf

Still a bit windy here. Sun shining though, plot looks okay though one brussel plant is needing support. No damage that's not retrievable  ,

Breezy here, although nothing as bad as yesterday.   My tally of losses so far is a large globe artichoke stem bearing several heads    and my angelica, which has snapped at the base.  Not so bothered about the latter - I'll drag it into the chicken run later.

Its sunny and fairly warm.  Everything is drying out after the battering it got yesterday.

All wet and windy here on Anglesey ,i knew it once the rain started it won't know when to stop,it is nice and warm at least.

Brightening up now after a very wet morning (just under half an inch.)

Decent forecast for tomorrow - hope it's right because I'm off to the RHS flower show at Chatsworth Park tomorrow and my wallet is still smarting from the cost of the tickets!
