Like GrannieAnnie, I can recommend the Ukadex stuff - it is evil!  I usually have to put my clothes straight in the washing machine after treating my chickens!

My hens aren't interested in pecking blocks at all!  I let mine free range across the garden so there is plenty of room for mine if they are getting a bit stir crazy and picking on each other.
