Yes you should remove all the runners as these will take energy from the fruit development.
I generally pull them away from main plant, but depends how strong/well rooted your plants are. You can cut or pull.

After fruiting, you can allow runners to develop and put roots in pots (still attached to the parent plant) to start new plants.
