Spuds Looking Sick
« on: April 16, 2014, 19:42 »
Mrs Jim was at the plot tonight and noticed the leaves of some of the spuds in the ground are starting to go brown

Any idea what this is? Mrs J suggested the just needed a good watering but we watered them on Sunday...?

Some pics for you to see:

Thanks
Jim

Frost, we had one the last two nights.

Planted too early. They will recover, but will have been set back.

Mine survived but some nasturtiums I left out in modules appear to have got caught a bit. Hadn't given them a thought.

My early pots in the greenhouse are about 2ft tall and outside they are about 2" - 3" and have a fleece tent over them, I really didn't expect them to grow as quickly as they have.

Frost damage!
Cover/earth up, and all should be well.
Keep a look out at the weather forecasts!
