I´ve quite a few turks turbin pumpkin growing and as it is the first time I have grown them I am not sure when to harvest them.  Has anyone here grown them?  Some are the size of a smallish football.
Any thoughts?

I had a good crop last year.

When they change colour. Than leave them to dry and cure in a dry cool place. Leave a good stalk on when you cut.

Mine are yellow on the ´bottom´bit and cream on the top.  My neighbour said some folk were asking them if they had pumpkin to sell- as they sell lots of their tomatoes and peppers, so I thought as I have so many I´d try to sell some!
We have picked and roasted the orange dream pumpkin, they are nice.  By ´normal´ pumpkin are getting HUGE last year I had one, this year I have 7 so far and maybe another coming along!!  Think we will live on pumpkin soup through the winter
