Amazing passion flower (in more ways than one!)
« on: September 15, 2018, 10:37 »
I've attached a couple of pics taken this morning of a passion flower 'bush' (?) which is doubly amazing - at about 10' tall and the same wide it's certainly a big plant, but it's actually planted in next door's garden, having grown over a WW2 Anderson shelter, though my poor old David Austen Graham Thomas English rose, and then down into my garden, all in the space of this year!

Some serious cutting back to be done after it's finished its wonderful display of flowers!

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

How stunning that will look when all the flowers have come out!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

We had one many years ago (not at this garden)   When the flowers finished it had attractive red pods.
But the shoots, use to shoot up everywhere.   I wonder if its still there  :D
We did have a talk about them at church a couple of weeks ago, and what each part of the flower biblically signifies, hence the name.   Mrs Bouquet
