Hi folks, I've recently acquired a small blackcurrant bush (about 18"/2') can anyone tell me if they like full sun/shade etc?
It looks quite healthy, but I'm worried about where I should position it as it's still beating down sunshine here!

I'm in Dundee and took a cutting from a blackcurrant bush in February. It's doing well and is about 8" high. The original bush, on the next plot, is currently (doh!) covered in fruit. Both are out in the open as opposed to anywhere shady.

Our bushes are in full sun too.
(One bush was 'in her way' so rather than dig it up properly, she chopped it down to ground level, to dig up later. That bush has regrown and is better than any of the others!) Funny old business, this
