1 of my hens wont get off the eggs, does this mean she is broody? if so i am going to pick up 11 fertile eggs off of a friend many thanks

Has she pulled out her chest feathers and spread herself out in the nesting box? Does she tell you off if you try and pick her up? I'm no expert but it sounds like she's broody to me.

I've got two broody hens. I tried to stop them from sitting but they were having none of it. We've now been given some fertilised eggs so fingers crossed we'll have chicks soon.

thanks for the reply, i picked the eggs up and she wont move off so fingers crossed
