Hi
I've got a load of empty beds in the PT. Is it a good idea to water them every so often even though nothing is growing? They look like they are drying out a bit too much.
TIA

We dont water ours when empty but to be fair they never dry out as we are in Somerset ::)
Not sure I would but I am probably wrong

I should think it's only the top that looks dry - water tables are very high atm. If you dig down a few inches, I bet it will be damp.
I'd only start watering when you are thinking of planting something.

I give mine a couple of really good soakings in winter, then cover with weed membrane. You don't see many worms in bone dry soil, that's a good enough reason for keeping them damp IMO.

I soaked mine recently as it was very dry as near a fence.
