There is a near me... called the Hennery. In Bodiam, East Sussex.

http://www.thehennery.co.uk/

But if you have a good neighbour, free eggs is normally enough of an offereing to ask them to hensit.

Blimey Alan, Ive seen it all now. Thanks for making me chuckle. I cant believe I didnt think to do a similar thing myself, its not as if we havent got the land! Trouble is, the French would just wring their necks and put them in the freezer rather than pay out for someone to look after them!
I hope that Zogget finds someone and has a great holiday.

Mary.

Our breeder does chicken bread and breakfast!

Our girls are off there for a weekend in October.  I hope it won't stress them out!

On the form it's down as '5* Free Range Bed and Breakfast' with an option for room service and ensuite! Hilariously silly!!

Where abouts are you?there is someone near where I live, however be carefull the stress of it all, when ours went away for a few days (to a good and trusted place)they came back quite stressed, neighbours or family staying over is now the option for us.

Where are you Zoggett? Might be someone on here who would call in for you. I think the stress of them moving, and being near other hens presumably, would inevitably bring on an illness. Can't see how a 'hennery' would work for that reason unless they were on 'extended leave'
