Hi chaps,

Gonna clean out the grotty hen house tomorrow. Wondered what would be best to line the floor with??

Been talking to the other lot holders. Turns out the previous tenant left them all week and they regularly ran out of food and had to eat their eggs  :x .

No excuse!

They also never got out of the covered run either. I've been letting them out into the lot while I'm down and they seem to love it.    They even tap on the door now when they see me!

Oh, I'll post some piccies tomorrow as requested.

get loads of straw down and scatter some corn in it for them to scrat about in .also cover the roof of the run and put more straw outside    they wont know what to do at first poor sods  :x when ya want to clean up agin just rake all the straw together n put it on ya compost .inside just fluff the straw up after a week,  full clean out once a fortnight with a good wash down etc .
