Title: Should I scarify the lawn ?

Now we have had  bit of rain, the more shady part of the lawn is looking better.  Should I lightly rake the very dry bit, or will it pull any new growth out ?  Never had this happen before  :ohmy:  Mrs Bouquet

This is something that you normally do in autumn when lawn grasses put out "tillers" that are side-shoots from the main stems which helps it to bulk up for the next season so I'd leave it for now.

Oh good.   Right now it is  like blotting paper, after :lol: the torrential rain and gales today. :) :) Thanks, Mrs Bouquet
