Atlantic Giant pumpkin
« on: May 13, 2013, 21:20 »
I seem to be having problems getting them to germinate.  New seed bought this year.  (It's near enough 45p a seed - I didn't buy the cheapest)

Currently four seeds in pots on windowsill in light at 20 deg C   A furtle after 2 weeks, and nothing's happening.

Four in pots at 25 deg in dark in airing cupboard.  Nothing happening after 2 weeks, either.

2 chitting in damp paper on warm window cill - only been there a week.  Nowt.

Is it me, or is Atlantic Giant a particularly temperamental beastie?
Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.

About 10 days in the greenhouse with 2 year old seed.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

OK OK.   It's me then.  I'm feeling suitably inadequate, Mike.  :tongue2:
