Hello!

Being the newbie that I am, can anybody classify this please?

They're belle de fontenay.   Planted in new ground end (well, it had been broken and horse manure added and left for a while during the frosts).

I had a couple of rotten spuds when I first started digging, so panic about blight first set in.  Now I'm not so sure.   I got to thinking maybe it's scab and it looks bad as the lesions are still wet.

Of course, when I go rooting in the sack to pull some out, I can't find any, and these were all I could find.

Any ideas?

See what everybody else says but that looks like slug damage to me

Your rotten spuds could well have been the "mother" seed potato.
