At what point do i pinch the tips of my chilli plants they are about 12 inches tall

I don't pinch mine out unless the plants fail to get bushy by themselves - I think pinching out "costs" a couple of weeks, so not needed if the plant is doing it by itself.

I don't pinch mine at all.

I don't pinch mine either, but I do pinch off the flowers until the plant is a decent size, otherwise you don't get so many chilis

I pinched out the tips of half the chillies i planted  Christmas time at 6" high and now it is hard to tell those which were 'doctored' from the ones left untouched.
