Coolglass
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:33 »
I used some of this last year and didn't bother cleaning it off at the end of procedings. I have two water butts fed by the greenhouse and the water has become opaque form the run off taking some residue of the coolglass with it. Will it be ok to use this water, or does it need tipping away? It seems a waste if it does.

Are you sitting comfortably?  ::)

Bayer Coolglass safety data sheet here!

All rather baffling and it would be better if you had wiped it off, but if it comes off that easily you won't be the only one with milky water, and the main ingredient (titanium dioxide) is used in much greater concentrations in paints, sun filter lotions, and even food.

I'd use the water.

Very comprehensive data sheet. The only thing it doesn't tell you is if it makes water unusable! Sods law! :nowink:
