Regarding chickens water freezing.....
« on: December 26, 2010, 19:07 »
regarding using electricity outside, obviously if you cannot get all you electricity sockets under cover (our chicken pen is completely covered, we live in the country, and have plenty of foxes) you can always get waterproof connections from places like B & Q or Homebase, and always plug into an R.C.D (residual current device) This is a safety device that plugs into your mains power and protects you from any electrical faults. this is also availble from the same suppliers. I know this sounds a bit fiddly  or complicated, but really its not, but its probably better if you can use it  under cover. Marianne
