following  on from my recent post about our new lotty... this is what we purchased today and we used it to clear 10 x 10ft (roughly) worth of weeds in about 30 mins x

 the sickle does a marvelous job i must admit the petrol strimmer has rather taken over from my sickle although i still use my old  handed down scythe for cutting down nettles it still does a good job

like your sickle it relies on hand power or power to your elbows whichever you prefer don't cut you fingers sharpening it

  I've one of the full sized ones, parked it by the front door last halloween. opened the door in a monks habit, the kids thought it was great, afew of the parents had to nip home for a change though.

I have a short handled sickle which is absolutely brilliant for when harvesting the comfrey leaves - best thing I have used to tackle the job
