Has anyone used a good product to get rid of flies in the chicken run?  I've never had a problem before, but because the run is close to the house because of the layout of the garden, I am now suffering an invasion of flies when I open the side door of the house.  Thanks.

I have a concrete floor which can be easily hosed down. Trying to poo pick earth was a nightmare.

We used to have 3 red top fly killers hanging around the runs, but they do smell a bit, so not too near the house.  We had very few flies in the house. or in the chicken houses those 2 summers.

I'd seen those advertised, but wasn't sure if they were as effective as they say.  I'll give them a try, I can't stand flies in the house - the constant buzzing drives me crazy.

Red tops are great, but expensive.  Make sure you buy the real thing as there are imitations out there.  Currently ours are filling up in less than a week!  We are convinced that we are keeping the flies down for the whole area.  We have free ranging chickens and so they are a must.
