Hi well it depens on how old they are, if they have a biffer comb and longer feathers on it tail it will be a rooster, or you could wait to see if you have more then 1 if they start fighting then you will know that they are roosters or you could just wait untill you hear 1 crow.

apparently, the bigger taller one is a cockerel, from what iv read..

But i cant be 100% sure as my bigger one i am sure it lays...

In short No.
I bought a trio of black silkies.
All cocks but there were definitely 2 hens to start with.
Hackle feathers may be a clue but I have had siklkies with good hackle feathers laying eggs.
I have also had a silkie hen who cock a doodle did like the boys. That was a blue bearded and I know it was a hen cause it laid eggs and cockerels generally dont do that.

The only way is if it lays an egg it is a girl, if it does not then it may possibly be a boy.
