Just picked pears from my Conference, invariably dropped and bruised or cut some of them, is there anything I can do with these? They are still hard as bullets. I've got about 10 that dropped.

Nooooooo...
After 12 months growing them? There must be some way to eat them...on the other hand, I did get over 50 good ones and that's only the first tree - got 3 other trees to strip. Why am I worrying? But I love pears and the season is short I can't bear to waste any and if I can find a recipe I can eat some now

Cut out the good bits, chop up, freeze and use to make blackberry & pear wine when you have enough of each.
