Easiyo yoghurt
« on: October 23, 2008, 15:01 »
Well got me easiyo last week.  Great success.  I absolutely hate yoghurt, and refused it all my life,.......... but hey surprise surprise I like my own.  Just been using sachets so far, but will try making my own from a starter of live yoghurt.

Tried the Greek yoghurt didn't seem much different from the natural yoghurt to me a bit creamier but not much thicker.  I am waiting for delivery of some muslin and will also try straining the yoghurt to see what happens.

Did look in Lidels for a starter but couldn't see any plain live yog.  Reading around (money expert site, I copied and pasted loads of tips and stuff to keep on my desktop) people seem to use:
Yeo Valley organic natural bio-live yogurt and
probiotic plain yogurt that comes in 4 packs from lidl (blue and green labeling) and
Rachel's Dairy organic bio yoghurt - whatever that is.

So anyway well worth the money.  Thanks for advice previously given.
