i grew my courgette plants from seed indoors in march then transfered them into bigger pots and put them into my coldframe.i planted them into the ground mid may. since iv planted  them they seem to off not grown much in size yet, but a few of them have produced flowers.am i suppose to feed courgette plants as i havent done so yet ?

You can give them a bit of feed - tomato feed is OK, but they've probably been sulking from being put out too early. The nights have been very cool.

I can't figure out my courgette plants at all. I've got 6 of them, 2 each of 3 different varieties. 1 plant is very big and vigorous but is only just starting to show flowers. The other 5 plants are much smaller and paler but have been flowering their socks off for weeks. It's not the variety because I've got 1 big and 1 small plant of the same variety. All 6 plants are right next to each other in the same bed, seeds sown at the same time and planted out at the same time, watered and fed at the same time. So why on earth would 1 plant be so much bigger and stronger?
