Title: Future grower!
Post by: Gren on November 20, 2017, 20:50
Hi all, new to the forum!

I currently live in Bracknell, where there is a 2 year waiting list. Does anyone have any suggestions on how you can shorten this? I currently live in a gardenless flat and really want to grow more than just a few herbs on the windowsill!

Thanks in advance,

Gren.

Ps sorry if the post is ib the wrong place!

Welcome to the forum Gren. What a shame you have to wait for an allotment when you are so keen. Maybe a phone call occasionally might help. Meanwhile you can do your research and make your plans.

Good morning Gren and welcome to the forum  :D

There are quite a few sites in the Bracknell area so my advice would be to put your name down on all the ones you can actually get to, not just one, and then ring each month to check whereabouts on each list you are. It is likely it would only be half a plot of course, but regular enquiries will keep your name in their vision  :nowink: :nowink:

Could you put a card in local newsagents windows offering to take on some ones too large garden or advertise the same in the free papers/magazines, church magazines?
