I set off to the lottie with the intension of emptying the compost bin but with the first spade full I found monster ants crawling everywhere. Please is there anything I can do to remove them or is there any other options. Am at a bit of a loss as to what to do. :?:

if you have your compost bin covered remove the cover and turn it over a bit to disturb them and let the weather shift them.
failing that wait till december and there wont be an ant insight  :) .
ants dont like the cold or rain.
feed the soil not the plants
organicish

Monster ants - visions of old films - Then and Marabunta!
Don't worry about them - isolated workers will just wander around until they die without the queen.
