peanuts!!!!

has anyone ever grown peanuts from seed, i have just ordered some.......how many nuts will i get per plant, when do i plant etc, any help would be appreciated, thanks and merry Christmas x

have to grow in hot weather in sandy soil, I had no luck outdoor last season (which is already very hot)

Rain at night, sunshine all day long!

They are a member of the bean family, not a nut.  And the general consensus on here is that you'll probably need a greenhouse for success.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

To me they are a tropical or southern hemisphere plant.. We grew loads in Zimbabwe and they were a long time in the ground!! I really dont think we could grow them in the UK.
Now a member of the 10 Ton club.... 2013  harvested 588 Kg from 165 sq mt..

They grew some in the tropical biome at the Eden project one year.

I'm trying to get some "Nyimo" (Jugo Bean) seed from africa.. It grows like peanuts and is delicious once cooked.. But it takes a whole lot of summer so will have to use my GH...
