Potato Haulm Disposal
« on: May 08, 2011, 09:58 »
With the potato lifting season hopefully not too far away, how does everyone dispose of their potato haulm to prevent the spread of disease?
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Early in the season if the haulms are still green:
If there was no disease, I just bung it in the compost bin.  If there was disease, burn or council green waste.

Later in the season, the haulms have died and it's not an issue.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
