[Pony Girl]

I've got 3 Pekin bantams, Flo, Mabel & Phantom. Got them in August when they were 16 weeks old, which makes them about 9 months now. They are lovely pets, and I could watch them for hours but I've still not had any eggs yet!

Is this normal? I'm hoping now that with spring around the corner we'll get some eggs soon. I read that their combs go very red when they are due to come into lay, which mine all have. Are there any changes in behaviour or other signs to look out for?

some hens will squat when you go near them if they are ready to lay (none of mine do now that I have cockerels), and yes now that the days are getting longer they could soon start to lay
