I was wondering just how many of you guys are losing your runner bean flowers due to this wind,everyday i go outside the back door there seems to be alot of new flowers on the floor.
dont get me wrong,i have loads that are growing and growing well,but as this is my 1st year at growing i was wondering,is this the norm?also kinda guessing there is little we can do about this?.

We have huge amounts of flowers on ours but we seem to have held onto them okay so far, one lot are shaded by the hedgerow and trees so I guess they would be okay even of we had a mini tornado

I think they will blow off easily after pollination so nothing to worry about

I'm losing loads of mine I planted loads so i could freeze the excess, but there has been none so far

I have had loads of flowers but have had very few beans.  Can't see that many flowers on the ground, it looks as though something may be eating them but I have never had this problem before, any ideas?
