Is she ready to lay eggs
« on: September 25, 2009, 12:48 »
Hi,

The 4 girls I have all seem fine after the horrible experience we had with the 3 Brown hens. I don't know how long it would be if they were to show signs of getting what the other hens had but they seem ok a the moment.

Anyhow Flo my Sussex Star has started to go into the  coop and look at the nesting boxes she is red in the face too. Does this mean she may start to lay soon??

Sounds like you won't have much longer to wait. Is she squatting when you reach out to her, that's another sure sign.
