onion sets arrived and "shooting"
« on: January 29, 2011, 09:48 »
my onion sets that i ordered months ago arrived in the week, some of which have started to
shoot already.

Now it is a little early to plant them. However. I am sure someone recommended once (unless I am dillusional! ) that onions can be popped  into modules of compost and put in the greenhouse until around March time, and then popped into the ground at that point straight out of their modules.

Or should I simply leave them in the house until planting later? thanks

Do the former.

leaving them in the warm house will only encourage them to shoot more.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
