I have divided my plot into 4 raised beds each approx 5mts x8mts.It took me 3 years to get my plot how i wanted it.fortunately i dont need a rotavator at the moment, however old age do not come on its own

Sweetcorn variety sundance has always been very successful, onions grown from sets have been a disaster for the last two years, however i have grown them successfully in my garden, apparently the previous owner of my plot sprayed chemicals on everything.I hope that i have improved the ground sufficently to get a reasonable crop this year

well with all that rain over the last few months anything good or bad in the soil will be long gone.

Dont know they just did not put on any growth, yet the same sets grew ok in my garden. I recently read an old book by Percy Thrower and he advocated keeping his onions in the same place each year,so thats what i am going to try

talked about using the same ground before but you need to add loads and loads of muck every year and double dig it in.
