Cleaning stones with Wet & Forget
« on: April 22, 2018, 14:35 »
My front garden is hard-landscaped, with various  size pebbles and stones etc.  Because it is north facing, the half in the shadow of the house, have gone black.   Do you think patio magic would clean them up.  I don't want to go and buy some, until I have your thoughts or other ideas.   Regards Mrs Bouquet

I see someone else has already said it but I also use 'Wet and Forget'; I get mine from QVC and of course if you do that you can try it and send it back if you don't like it.

You spray it on and once it's dried it's safe for pets but each time it rains it reactivates (still ok for pets) so it protects for longer than most other products.  I re-apply once a year and the difference is amazing - especially on the stones in the front garden which I couldn't treat otherwise.

You were recommending this product a couple of weeks ago.  I tried the bleach option, but it didn't work.  So Wet and Forget has just arrived.  Do I actually have to open the box, or will it just happen
I will study the directions and hopefully let it do its thing.  If you have any hints to help, I will be grateful, thanks, Mrs Bouquet

If it’s over a large area invest in a good pump sprayer, I bought a cheap one & as I do the back patio, side entry, large drive & garden path to the greenhouse & shed it makes it very tiring plus the spray doesn’t adjust enough

Today the weather was dull with no rain currently forecast.  So I used the product on my front garden.  I mixed it in a watering can fixed with a double drizzle bar.  I think the mix was possibly a bit incorrect as I was trying to empty from the big bottle into a small water bottle then measure out 5 more of water.  I spilt some trying to pour it.  So far I have used a 2 litre bottle, and I still have one smaller area to do. So I hope it rains in the night.  I will keep you posted on the outcome, I feel quite excited about it.  (sad old lady )
