I have a fig tree with about 30 figs on (the most I've ever had) but there is no sign of them ripening yet.
Am I being impatient or any ideas what I can do to ripen them please.

I think it is a bit early yet.  Are they a decent size?  If so, they should be OK to ripen this year  :)

I've two that are just starting to ripen - don't know why? But the rest are still rock hard and won't be ready before at least mid August. Looking forward to them!

They do tend to ripen at different times. No idea why this is

No sign of mine ripening yet (Leicestershire).
My tree has been in about 25 years, and generally does extremely well. I never feed or water it, and only ever cut out random bits that are in the way or threatening to take over the neighbourhood!
Two plots with The Leicester Permanent Society - still learning.

My Brown Turkey in the polytunnel has quite a few on that usually ripen in mid September, another plot holder has the same variety and usually gets his in early August  :nowink:

My fig Tree has many many fruits at different stages , my wife puts cloth around the biggest ones & they ripen fast & become quite huge & delicious.

mine is about 15 years old in a pot and this year I have more figs (all of different sizes) than I ever remember.  I thought this hot weather would ripen them and check them each day in anticipation ::)

I noticed 3 the other day had swollen and show signs of ripening, so fingers crossed I will get to enjoy some soon.

I hope they do ripen at different times as this will stop getting a glut all at once.  fingers crossed this will be a good year!

If I remember correctly - it depends whether they are growing from embryonic fruit buds formed last year, or on ones formed this year. Last year's ones ripen quicker :)

My Tree has also produced a very healthy number of figs , all of different sizes, some have begun to ripen without being wrapped with cloth, which is very encouraging. I too hope they ripen at different times to enjoy them longer..:-))
