I think the spots are caused by very wet soil.  Reckon you'll be fine.

RE white spots on potatos. Are the tops showing signs of die back, if so I think its a sign of potato blight.  Had it on mine and some of tubers were starting to rot. Probably aggrivated by wet weather.
If it is blight you need to get them up as quickly as possible, even then they probably wont keep long.
Its tough on gardeners this year.

I dug some spuds up yesterday and 3 of them add white spots just washed them and they look ok to me. This year I feel is not gonna be a great one for me everything down my allotment looks sad if you know what I mean.
I CAME LATE TO THIS GAME, BUT IT'S IN THE BLOOD. I TRY TO BE ORGANIC BUT SORRY HAVE TO USE THE SLUG PELLETS.

been down to the plot this morning to dig up my 1st spuds (dug up spuds at home and they are fine) and they aren't well. No blight, but a bit of wireworm and rot has set in. from 3 plants I got maybe 10 spuds... not happy.

the ground was soaking wet 5 inches down.

hoping my pink fir apples will be ok in a few months time, as I put them in about 3-4 weeks ago and no sign of them yet....

I've only dug up my salad Juliet spuds, and they've been OK, but not a very high yield - but I put this down to not manuring, and planting straight into freshly cleared soil.

I planted all my maincrops and salad spuds through black plastic (the desirees had a layer of manure under the plastic) - so the soil has stayed quite dry even with all this rain.  There's been a bit of slug damage, but no fungus yet (fingeres crossed!).  I put this mulch down to keep the moisture IN (remembering last summer!), but it's actually done a fine job of keeping it out
