I also got some beef topsides bargain from the co-op yesterday.  Cut in half and frozen with the exception of one half which is going in the slow cooker shortly as a pot roast with onions and red wine and .....

Roast veg and frisbees, spoon standing to go with slices of the beef later.  The cooking liquid and veggies will be the basis of a nice beef stew for Friday - how much actual beef it will see depends on how it slices.

Yesterday was lamb (last few bits of the Easter roast from the freezer) in a spicy vegetable and tomato sauce over rice.

Today is roast chicken with the last of the Sarpo Axona from the shed as roasties, plus veg and spoon standing.  I''m contemplating a pud as well.  Maybe a fruit mousse, as we have plot berries of various sorts in the freezer  :)

Last night was a fridge clearing frittata type thing.  Simple and satisfying, but not exactly classic!  :D

Tonight will be cold sliced beef (the topside sliced very nicely) with beetroot gratin, jacket spuds and runners.   Not a classic sunday dinner but will be welcome by the time we get to it.

Last night was a lamb tagine type thing from the freezer over a jacket potato, sprinkled with cheese, it was filling is about all could be said for it!
Tonight it’s steak & kidney(freezer) pie with a puff pastry top(freezer) potatoes, carrots & a surprise picking of psb, I thought it had all finished. There will be a rhubarb crumble or at the least stewed rhubarb as I’ve just picked 3.5 kg of forced rhubarb.

Last night was pork and apple (have to use those in store asap, or it is the compost for them!) casserole, cooked in the last splash of cider.  Runners and steamed pots on the side.

Tonight is potato, leek and squash (same story!) gratin.

Last night was the other half of the pork casserole with runners and mash.

Tonight we are going to celebrate the sunshine and get the BBQ out ... it might be a bit of an odd selection as I haven't exactly stocked up for summer, but we can't waste a warm summer night.  It might be the  only one we get!

Last night was a bit of a treat - (HM) chips! with hm lamb burgers and baked beans (out of a tin).

Tonight will be venison sausage (from the local butchers) bourguignon, with much more healthy steamed pots and runner beans.
