Setting up a website.
« on: September 11, 2017, 15:17 »
Gooser is going into new territory here! I want to set up a website called "Friends of Cockersand Abbey" but haven't a clue how to do it. I thought I'd ask here before I searched on-line so I can get to grips with the basics. Any help will be most welcome.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Lots of folk use wordpress but it was beyond me

I use Simplesite, which is what it says...simple  and you get a lot free. Worth a look imho

Good luck  :D

British telecom offer a free service if you meet the criteria, e.g. Non profit making etc.  Our allotment site is powered by it.  It's dead easy to do and to edit it 😃 It's fun actually 😃

You could run a blog...

Very easy, I've been doing mine for over ten years, and it's a doddle!

Thinking of Cockersand though, a website would be preferable, so follow those here who know...

Weebly is very easy to use, much easier than wix IMHO.
I use Weebly for a number of sites...
http://acregateallotment.weebly.com/
and our footy site...
http://afcblackpoolseniorseasiders.weebly.com/

Its free and you get loads of different options and loads of templates.
