I think you need to order plenty of sun too!  :)  I'l come in with you on that order if you like?   :D

More mange touts / sugar snap peas here (I'm giving up on std peas) as they are great in salads stirfries etc etc.  And I will get succession sowing right this time!

In a similar situation to MustbeMad  :D We're definitely trying garlic, shallots, onions and broad beans (all autumn planting), carrots, jostaberries, redcurrants, peas, calabrese and intercropping with salad stuff. Will be giving the strawberry runners that are all over the place a new home and a chance as well. If we can get a larger/second plot we'll be trying sweetcorn, pink fir apple and maincrop potatoes.

Will try sweetcorn again as another poor year and will try burgess buttercup again as no germination this year  :(
Have different types of french beans and tomatoes for next year and going to try sugar snap peas too.

Haven't done elephant garlic- is it worth it? Any advantages over normal garlic?

Huge cloves, and I mean really huge, but very mild sweet flavour. Excellent roasted alongside roast spuds!

It is actually a member of the leek family, rather than garlic. We love it, and grow masses every year. The flowers are beautiful too, and beloved by bees

My cloves from the IOW garlic farm arrived last week - each clove was the size of a normal garlic bulb!!! How many of these cloves would you expect to get per plant?

Has everyone planted there elephant garlic out for over winter or are people holding off till spring? I have some in the plot now but picked some more up, I was wondering if it was to late to p!ant the rest of if I should hold off.
