Hi,I was going to have a bash at some winter lettuces in the greenhouse but have noticed some only withstand light frost's! Is there a variety which is hardened to harsh winters like we have been having?-I think we are going to have another:( brrrrr.

Golda, Minerva, Cornet de Bordeaux (I like this one) , Valdor, Lambs lettuce, Meraviglia D'Inverno, Brune d'Hiver, Winter Density, Val d'Orge, Arctic King

I grow cornet de bordeaux IMO it's great in winter salad......but it is not lettuce it an endive (or chicory or scarole aren't plant names great  )

It has a slightly bitter taste, like the red radiccio you find in supermarket salad bags
