A seat for two
« on: June 15, 2008, 22:32 »
A rustic seat i built using logs from some of the trees i had to cut down on the plot.  The flag stones are my boundary on this shared plot and the bloke who has the bit in the background doesn't get down very much as he works full time he comes on a Saturday morning does a few hours then retires to the local pup for a liquid lunch then comes back but is too lethargic to do anything

Nicely styled seat JR.

I'd be inclined to season the logs, split 'em, stack 'em and burn 'em.

But it's nice as it is all the same.

It just shows the versatility of timber. You can make something practical, artistic or just set fire to it.

It's a truly wonderful medium.  :)

I admit, I'm another Shaun. I like fire.

Obviously now it's made, I would never suggest anything other than sitting on and admiring its beauty, but maybe in another context, the logs could join the rest of my pile (in my home-made recycled logstore) and keep us warm for zero cost.
After all, we don't get that lovely heating allowance from Mr. Brown adn what with the cost of gas, etc, etc.....mutter....mutter....
