I have 1 of my compost bins entirely devoted to weeds, as i wasnt really sure what ones i could compost and which ones i could not so i have kept my other 2 clean of weeds.

Now that it is getting quite full im feeling nervous about using it next yr, probaly because i just see this big bin full off weeds  .

I have read some where on here that some ppl would just burn this stuff (i might find out if we can have fires).

I also planned on using it a 'second class' compost next yr , but then what crop gets the second class treatment  ?

So in general whats the best idea to do with a big box of all your rotting weeds ?

I take them home a bag at a time and put them in my green bin for the council as their composting takes place at a high enough temp to kill off the growing process so I'm told.
The annual weeds go on my heap The nasties go to the council

Is it possible to fill your box with water and drown them until they are thoroughly dead?

If the weeds have composted down then there is no reason why you cannot use it. It is all plant material. If there are still live weed roots present pull them out. This compost may contain a few weed seeds but you have a hoe.

Does depend on the weed.
Annuals I would compost providing they've not gone to seed.
Perennials, shouldn't really compost, risk of replanting roots fragments.

Having said that, don't often have time to separate, so it only happens if I'm feeling efficient.  Big fan of glyphosate for the nasties.

Burning perennials would be good, let them dry out first.
