Summer is pretty much over and the Lemon Aji's have decided now is the time to ripen
Just need that indian summer to come for a few weeks so we can enjoy the BBQ and and salsa's.
They have soooooo annoyed me this year, so slow to ripen, no idea why when all of the other chillies have ripened no problem pretty when expected.

This year's the first I've had any ripen before late October, although I did set them off very early (late December). On the other hand none of the fruits on my overwintered plant have ripened yet.....

Oh yes, but always welcome late comers. Just checked and last year I was cropping ripe ones from 10th November - 20th December which were convert into lemon chilli jam on 26th

Sounds interesting, will have to have a search for a recipe - can you recommend one?

I have had just one ripen thus far. It was dead hot though. Normally not that potent 😊
Looking forward to plenty more
