Quite a nice harvest... I found some baby turnips while weeding around the chard. I planted those ages ago but I saw them get flea beetle pretty bad so I had given up on them. I got a nice little handful of 1inch across baby turnips  :D I'm starting to get heaps of beets so I might have to try out Kat's (?) chocolate and beetroot cake soon.

edit: OH! I forgot. We harvested our potatoes grown in a binbag. Not such a good crop from one of the seed potatoes because two of its three halms broke during the high winds we had in May. So only 5 Red Duke of York potatoes vs. 24 Blue Edzells

wistfully hoping to one day be mostly organic gardener in North London.

The bent over hoops were from a cloche from Lidl. They just put them back on sale this past week I think? Check your nearest store to see if they have any left. I think they had them reduced to £1.50 and you get about 4 hoops and some rather useless holey plastic... the "netting" is just normal horticultural fleece. You can get it off of a big roll(cut to length) or in small packages in most DIY or garden centres.

I've not had any of the purple podded peas besides in mangetout form. Mangetout form was very nice. So far there's too many pea moth larvae in the formed peas
