large plot fertiliser/manuring
« on: December 16, 2007, 21:40 »
I had the whole plot harrowed last month and it is looking like an onion bed.  Is there anything other than 4 skiploads of manure I can spread over (pref a bit lighter) which will soak in over winter and help the soil for springtime planting and sowing?

Compost- in my area you can buy the large dumpy bags full of compost- probably from sewerage waste plus some other organic material.

Lovely stuff!
