I have recently noticed my 3 chickens have what I have looked up as to be scaley leg.I have treated them with scaley leg spray followed by vaseline. My cockrel needs to be rehomed as I have had complaints about his crowing but he had a reaction to the treatment as legs became red and sore although now a week after using aloe vera gel seem to be less angry and sore. I have found a friend who will have him with her 5 exbats but am anxious not to move him until I know he is not infectious. Any advise much appreciated as the neighbour is getting nasty!

you could try treating him with frontline. This will kill the mites but any treatment you give will not show until he next moults and then he will lose his raised scales 
Alternatively coat his legs twice a day with a coat of petroleum jelly.

Go to the chemist and get some benzyl benzoate that will cure it

I used vasaline (petrolium jelly) twice a day for a week job done
