moving raspberry canes

Hi
about 2 years ago we got some raspberry canes from the local free ad paper I only wanted 10 but the man said I might as well take what was left -  over 30

we put them in the ground just so they were planted untill we prepared the area, we had a lot of fruit last year and this year,  we are now ready at last to replant them  when is it the best time  to do this, and as we dont know what variety they are how will we know when to prune them, they have had fruit for about a month but it's now coming to an end

They sound like summer fruiting ones, so you need to cut off the canes that has the fruit this year, leaving the new growth intact.

November is the recommended time for moving them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
