what to grow through winter?

Still in the ground we have:
Leeks, parsnips, spinach, chard, kale, purple sprouting broccolli and sprouts.

To plant we have:
Japanese onion sets, garlic and broadbeans (aquadulce claudia)

Likewise this is our first year so interesting to read this thread and get some more ideas.

broad beans are a gamble to over winter thats why I sown a row on sunday i like to live dangerously :wink:

why dont you go the full hog DD and put them in a week earlier
